Market Update – February 2015 in Review

As we look back on the Lake Oconee Real Estate Market for February 2015, we see that there were a total of 32 real estate transactions.  This is slightly up from last year as there were only 30 transactions in February 2014.  Of those that sold last month, 25 were homes and 7 were land lots.  There were only two bank-owned properties that sold, and they were both homes.  Below are a few more observations of the Lake Oconee Area Real Estate Market for February 2015:

  • Of the 25 homes that sold, 13 were on the lake and 3 were on the golf course

    • Selling prices of the lakefront homes ranged from $250,054 to $932,100

    • The golf course homes (including a condo) sold between $272,000 and $450,000

    • 9 of the homes that sold were in gated golf communities, while 14 were in lake communities

  • Of the 7 land lots that sold, 1 was on the lake and 2 were on the golf course

    • The selling price of the lakefront lot was $1 Million, and it was in Reynolds Plantation

    • Selling prices of the two golf course lots were $50,000 and $150,000, and they were also in Reynolds Plantation

    • 5 of the land lots that sold were in gated golf communities, while one was in a lake community and the other in a rural area
